NADA Auto Valuation

Both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy require accurate valuations of all vehicles, although for different reasons. U.S. Bankruptcy courts only recognize National Automobile Dealers Association, or NADA, valuations unless the debtor or creditor disagrees with the valuation. In that case, the debtor or creditor can get a second opinion from a qualified appraiser or car dealership.

 

Wisconsin Circuit Court Access

The WCCA website provides access to certain public records of the Wisconsin circuit courts. The information displayed is an exact copy of the case information entered into the circuit court case management system by court staff in the counties where the case files are located. The court record summaries viewed here are all public records under Wisconsin open records law.

Approved Credit Counseling Agencies in the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin

Prior to filing for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy, you must receive credit counseling from an approved agency within six months of filing. FInd a credit counseling agency approved by the Justice Department for the court districts in the state of Wisconsin. Several are nationwide outfits that offer their services online or by phone.

 

Approved Debtor Education Providers in the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin

You must take a two-hour personal financial management course (also known as debtor education) before receiving your debtor's discharge. FInd a debtor eductaion provider approved by the Justice Department for the court districts in the state of Wisconsin. Several are nationwide outfits that offer their services online or by phone.
